Analyst (Oxford, UK)

PharmaVentures is seeking an Analyst to join the Corporate Advisory department at its Oxford-based office delivering business consultancy services to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. The job holder will be responsible for the gathering and analysis of scientific and financial data and information for a variety of consultancy projects, ranging from market research and financial modelling, to due diligence, M&A partnering and litigation support.

The Analyst will plan and conduct both primary and secondary research and write reports based on their research for client reports. The Analyst may have a direct role in interacting with both clients and executives at target companies for M&A partnering activities.

Key requirements:

The Analyst will be required to quickly assimilate and understand complex scientific information in a range of different areas, and will need to confidently interpret this information appropriately for client projects. The Analyst will work with senior consultancy members to develop novel ways to address client needs. Furthermore, the Analyst will participate in developing industry thought leadership by contributing to PharmaVentures’ research and publications.

This is a pivotal role in the Corporate Advisory team and will suit a driven, high-calibre candidate who has an ambition to develop their knowledge and experience of the commercial side of the healthcare industry. The ideal candidate must have a academic background in life sciences/pharmacology/chemistry, a scientific degree from a reputable university being the minimum requirement. A business qualification (e.g. MBA) and/or experience of the pharmaceutical/biotech industry or investment banking would be an advantage but is not essential . It is however critical that the candidate has good communication skills in English, with both strong writing and numerical/analytical skills.

Web Content Manager (Oxford, UK)

PharmaVentures is now recruiting a Web Content Manager to join this exciting, Oxford-based company delivering consultancy and media services to the pharmaceutical and biotech industry. The job holder will be responsible for ensuring that its websites are maintained and upgraded, and will be a driving force behind the prestigious PharmaTelevision and PharmaDeals online platforms.

The Manager will coordinate and implement requests for changes to the websites, including copy, advertising content, and other requirements to ensure optimal user experience consistent with business aims. For PharmaTelevision, the post holder will have primary responsibility for processing of videos according to in-house protocols.

The Web Content Manager will be, implementing improved SEO practises, evaluating traffic and driving through development projects. Further, the job holder will be required to liaise with and manage outsourced suppliers to agreed budgets.

Pivotal in the team, this is a post for a high calibre individual, who combines good technical knowledge of HTML, CSS, and XML with a excellent understanding and proven experience of web content management. The post holder will be an excellent project manager and communicator and have a keen eye for detail. Experience of creating graphics with packages such a Photoshop is also an advantage.
