Fintan Walton PhD

Fintan Walton PhD (CEO and Founder of PharmaVentures)

Dr Walton is the Founder and CEO of PharmaVentures. After completing his doctoral research on the genetics of cell proliferation at the University of Michigan (US) and Trinity College (Dublin, Ireland), Dr Walton gained broad commercial experience in biotechnology in management positions at Bass and Celltech plc (1982-1992).

Although Dr Walton’s main focus is his role as Chief Executive Officer of PharmaVentures, he is available for some consultancy assignments.

Dr Tibor Papp MD, PhD, MBA

Tibor Papp MD PhD MBA (Head of Advisory & Transactions)

Tibor is strategy advisor with 16 years of experience in the healthcare / life sciences industry in the areas of corporate strategy, venture capital investment, portfolio development, business transformation, licensing / M&A, market entry strategy, and risk management. He has advised health care and private equity clients about transactions strategies in pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, medical devices, drug delivery systems, and medical supplies globally. Tibor is also an experienced surgeon, with a PhD from the University of Aberdeen and an MBA from the University of Oxford.

Kevin Bottomley

Kevin Bottomley, BSc. (Hons) (Senior Principal)

Kevin is an experienced business development specialist, with over 25 years of experience in pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies involving senior positions in research, alliance management and business development. He has a proven track record of successful deal-making having worked at Roche, Quintiles, Hoechst (Sanofi-Aventis) and at Inpharmatica, where from 2001 to 2006 he was a Senior Director of Business Development. Kevin has a degree in Pharmacology from Kings College, University of London.

Scott Gorman

Scott Gorman, PhD MBA (Principal)

Scott has extensive experience providing bespoke advice on licensing and M&A transactions including strategy, market evaluations, product and technology valuations, deal negotiations, heads of terms and due diligence. He has also led litigation and arbitration projects wherein PharmaVentures served as expert witness. Formerly, Scott was with GlaxoSmithKline and Cobra Therapeutics where he gained experience in product development and commercialisation. Scott has a BS (Hons) from the University of Kentucky, a PhD from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from Warwick University.
