Fintan Walton PhD (CEO and Founder of PharmaVentures)

Dr Walton is the Founder and CEO of PharmaVentures. After completing his doctoral research on the genetics of cell proliferation at the University of Michigan (US) and Trinity College (Dublin, Ireland), Dr Walton gained broad commercial experience in biotechnology in management positions at Bass and Celltech plc (1982-1992).

Although Dr Walton’s main focus is his role as Chief Executive Officer of PharmaVentures, he is available for some consultancy assignments.

Tibor Papp, MD, PhD, MBA (Head of Corporate Advisory)

Dr Papp is an experienced corporate strategy advisor having spent 18 years in the healthcare / life sciences industry in the areas of commercial and operational strategy, investment management, portfolio development, business transformation, licensing / M&A, and risk management. He has advised leading pharmaceutical, medical device and private equity clients about product, market and M&A deal strategies in pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, medical devices, drug delivery systems, and medical supplies globally. Tibor is also an experienced surgeon, with a PhD from the University of Aberdeen and an MBA from the University of Oxford.

Kevin Bottomley, BSc. (Hons) (Head of Transactions)

Kevin is an experienced business development specialist, with over 25 years of experience in pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies involving senior positions in research, alliance management and business development. He has a proven track record of successful deal-making having worked at Roche, Quintiles, Hoechst (Sanofi-Aventis) and at Inpharmatica, where from 2001 to 2006 he was a Senior Director of Business Development. Kevin has a degree in Pharmacology from Kings College, University of London.

Nikki Watkins, MA, ACA (Head, Product & Portfolio Strategy)

Nikki is an experienced executive with expertise assisting pharmaceutical companies achieve strategic and financial goals. She has over ten years pharmaceutical industry experience across a variety of roles, including Corporate Finance, R&D Portfolio Management, Commercial Analysis and Consumer Healthcare. Most recently she was Director, Portfolio Consolidation & Analysis at GlaxoSmithKline. Prior to GSK, Nikki worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where she qualified as a chartered accountant and gained experience in the insurance and fund management sectors. Nikki has an MA (Hons) in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge and is an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants.
