Murat Karabiyikoglu

Murat Karabiyikoglu MD MBA (Senior Consultant)

Murat Karabiyikoglu advised healthcare companies on their strategic business plans, new product searches, financial models and forecasts. He is specifically interested in health economics and innovation management. Trained as a neurosurgeon, Murat has both clinical and research experience and holds an MBA from the Oxford University Said Business School.

Mel Hemamda

Mel Hemamda, BSc. (Hons) (Consultant)

Mel joined PharmaVentures in 2003 as a Product Manager for PharmaVentures' Drug Delivery franchise. Mel's responsibilities included the development, marketing and sales of such brands as The Drug Delivery Report. In 2005, Mel joined the Business Development team where he spent two years developing and winning business opportunities both in Europe and North America. Mel recently joined the Consultancy Group, and his ongoing projects focus on market assessments, competitive evaluations and business development.

Heather Cartwright

Heather Cartwright MBiochem, DipFM (Senior Analyst)

Heather is an experienced analyst having worked on a variety of consultancy projects involving aspects of strategy assessment, due diligence, deal analysis, valuation and litigation support. She is also involved in delivering PharmaVentures’ Essential Pharmaceutical Valuation Techniques workshop. Prior to joining PharmaVentures, Heather gained her undergraduate degree in Molecular and Cellular Biochemistry from Trinity College, University of Oxford and she has since been awarded the ACCA Diploma in Financial Management.

Jing Wang

Jing Wang, (BSc Hons), PhD (Business Analyst)

A Business Analyst, Jing graduated from Cambridge University where her research concentrated primarily on the genetics of hypertension. She also carried out immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescence studies on human tissue and cell cultures, revealing a novel finding of a classical salt homeostasis pathway within the human adrenal. Jing has presented her research findings to a number of national scientific conferences, including the British Hypertension Society Annual Meeting 2005 and 2006.
