Business Development Analyst
Purpose of role
Reporting to the Business Development Director, the Business Development Analyst will be responsible for the development and execution of marketing activities, incorporating creative digital content, email and social media. This will involve the analysis of topical issues in the life science sector or issues of specific relevance to PharmaVentures, and generating relevant and informative marketing collaterals, interacting with the corporate advisory team as appropriate. Input and curation of PharmaVentures’ quarterly newsletter Termsheet, Whitepapers and email campaigns. The Business Development Analyst will assist the Business Development Director in generating leads by researching and contacting potential client companies at major biopharmaceutical conferences and partnering events, executing effective digital and general marketing campaigns. Utilising tools including Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Mailchimp, Twitter, LinkedIn, website and other platforms, the Business Development Analyst will be responsible for increasing PharmaVentures’ digital profile.
To plan and execute PharmaVentures’ BD activities, including but not limited to:
·Generation of creative and interesting marketing collaterals, including PharmaVentures Insights infographic, based on the research and analysis of key issues in the life science industry
·Compilation of PharmaVentures’ publications such as Termsheet and Whitepapers
·Planning and designing effective press releases and email campaigns
·Distribution of marketing materials via Mailchimp and follow up when necessary
·Analysis of the effectiveness of various campaigns
·Management of website content
·Primary contact person for key accounts directly related with marketing; website, CRM and Mailchimp
·Overseeing adherence to the company image and branding; from corporate colours, logos, website copy, corporate stationery, through to marketing materials
·Recruitment of interviewees for the PharmaVentures Insights interview series and its incorporation in other marketing campaigns
To assist the Business Development Director in generating quality leads and shaping PharmaVentures’ business development strategy:
·Understand our target client profile and assist in developing business relationships via partnering meetings, cold contact or specific campaigns
·Ensure that CRM and Mailchimp data are up to date
·Monitor effective use of Microsoft Dynamics CRM by the PharmaVentures team
·Prepare reports the Business Development Director and PharmaVentures’ senior management
·Relevant industry experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical devices
·Relevant marketing experience
·Strong written and verbal communication skills and a good eye for detail; must be able to produce high quality copy and present information in a compelling manner
·Good analytical skills, for application in producing PharmaVentures Insights infographics and researching potential clients
·Creative and open-minded team player with a strong commercial acumen
·Prioritisation skills and ability to work both collaboratively and independently to meet competing deadlines to a high standard
·Confident with a mature attitude and professionalism
Qualifications / IT skills required
·Life science degree (preferred) and/or marketing qualification
·Graphic design and copy writing skills are advantageous
·Web design and content management experience is a bonus

Purpose of role
1. To be responsible for the execution of multiple licensing, M&A and advisory mandates. This includes:
- Providing sound transactional and strategic advice and support to clients
- Developing a project plan with timelines, resource requirement and costings
- Being the primary point of contact with the client
- Assuming responsibility for the smooth running of the project to the client’s timelines and for meeting financial profitability targets
- Effective delegation to colleagues

- Carry out training to develop and manage directors, advisors and analysts

JOB TITLE: Analyst
PURPOSE OF JOB To assist in the research and analysis of pharmaceutical biotechnology, medtech and diagnostic companies, products and technologies.
SALARY Circa £25,000 – depending on skills and experience
Support the corporate advisory team in:
1. The gathering and analysis of data and information for consultancy projects and M & A mandates including strategy, partnering, M & A, market research, financial modelling and company due diligence through the use of in-house databases, external publications, the internet and industry contacts.
2. With supervision to plan and execute primary and secondary research pertinent to accessing commercial activities within the pharmaceutical industry and to write analyst reports.
3. Identification and direct contacting of appropriate companies for clients. Liaison with interested parties to exchange documentation, data and to set up meetings.
4. Gather, analyse and interpret data relating to therapies, technologies, companies and products and to prepare and write reports which will form elements of internal and client reports.
5. Contribute to drafting of project and marketing collaterals including teasers, IM’s, internal and external presentations.
6. Pro-actively develop and propose ways of analytical modelling to address special client needs, support the consultancy delivery team and present specialised aspects of analysis.
7. Actively participate in developing industry thought leadership by contributing at least 4 articles per year to PharmaVentures’ website, term sheet and other publications.
8. Ensuring that all contact details and notes associated with them are entered and up-to-date in the company’s CRM.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS PREFERRED
1. Life science or Business degree
2. Further life science qualifications desirable.
