Role Description
We are seeking an individual who can support our efforts to create and maintain new accounts in the mid-size pharmaceutical companies for our strategic consulting business. The successful candidate will be a highly proficient networker and account management expert. They will drive business for a highly successful global strategic consultancy and develop their network with mid- and large-cap pharmaceutical companies.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
- Develop an account management strategy designed to target large accounts from which we will be able to secure repeat business
- Identify key accounts and determine the most appropriate outreach tactics including conferences, face to face, roadshows, marketing etc…
- Listen to customers and understand customer needs
- Connect potential clients with practice leads and facilitate the design of pitches and projects using PharmaVentures core service offerings
- Manage and maintain relationships with larger clients and expand accounts by leveraging existing relationships to drive a significant uptick in repeat business
- Ensure appropriate development of leads into new business by working closely with the team to qualify and follow up on leads and opportunities, ensuring that all leads are progressed in a timely manner
- Develop proposals and pitch support and associated background research
- Conference monitoring and landscape tracking
- Develop marketing material
- Maintain strong online presence
- Maintain and improve the CR
- Analysis of performance metrics to assess the impact of the company’s business development initiatives
- Giving regular progress reports at Executive Committee meetings
- Other ad hoc duties as required by the Company from time to time
Qualifications / Requirements
Essential;
- Five years pharmaceutical account management experience
- Demonstrable experience with either a Global Life Sciences focused consultancy, or corporate strategy experience with a biopharma company.
- Network in European, US and ROW
- Life Sciences, pharmacy or medical degree
- Working knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint
Desirable:
- Higher Sciences degree
- Previous experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Sharepoint
- English/ European/Korean Languages
